Our first sunday-sessions evening took place yesterday evening. Thanks to everybody who has been there. It was very inspiring. In the last year Freestyle Man aka Sasse has been busy remixing, producing (under his numerous aliases) and running Moodmusic among other things. So it´s with some surprise and happiness we present a new Freestyle Man release on Sunday Music. The SMR-002 Soultrance EP and his production on SMR-003 Mini Sampler showed the deeper side of things from him - we like to call it the original Freestyle Man Sound - and the SMR-006 This Side Of The Moog Sasse keeps the delivery on the same level Deep House - Not Deep House discussions can be held in the Sanatoriums, we rock the floors with this 12-inch with 2 very different productions, both keeping the floor nailed from the first moment on. The A-side This Side.. chugs along with a monster deep bassline, quirky keys and some low key effects, keeping the tension on hi-alert on this 10 minute journey of afro-funk. The b-side Vortex builds up with effected percussion and live bass, it´s growing with neat synth stabs and atmospheric strings til the break drops and lifts the track to another dimension.
